CRIME REPORT - SUFFOLK

DISTRICT A

Breaking and entering, 5000 block Bennetts Pasture Road, Sept. 22, someone gained entry to a residence through a garage window. Numerous antique coins valued at $1,000 and $30 worth of quarters was removed. Damage to the window is estimated at $50.

Petty larceny, 3800 block Pughsville Road, Sept. 24, someone removed a license plate from a vehicle.

DISTRICT B

Petty larceny, 3300 block Nansemond Parkway, Sept. 22, someone reports that license plates were removed from vehicles.

DISTRICT C

Breaking and entering, 400 block Wellons Street, Sept. 22, upon returning to home, a man found the front door pried open. Drawers had been pulled out and ransacked, the bathroom sink had been pulled away from the wall and a large hole was smashed into the wall of the hallway. Nothing was reported missing.

Stolen firearm, 500 block Murphys Mill Road, Sept. 22, someone removed a Browning BPS 12 gauge pump shotgun from a residence.

Petty larceny, 1200 block North Main Street, Sept. 23, someone entered a vehicle and removed a Kodak One-Step camera and one set of work keys from the glove box.

Grand larceny, 100 block St. James Avenue, Sept. 23, someone removed approximately $1,110 worth of jewelry from a residence. Items included a 24-karat tennis bracelet, a woman's 24-karat gold-diamond cluster, a 24-karat gold herringbone necklace and an 18-karat gold herringbone necklace.

Petty larceny, 1600 block North Main Street, Sept. 27, someone removed two Virginia state license plates from an office. Decals were also taken.

DISTRICT D

Breaking and entering, 2100 block Oregon Avenue, Sept. 22, someone entered a residence through an open rear bathroom window. Fifteen-dollars in currency and $6 in food stamps were removed from a dresser.

Grand larceny, 100 block North Capitol Street, Sept. 23, someone entered a pick up truck and removed a Sprint cellular telephone in a black carrying case.

Grand larceny, 200 block Glouster Street, Sept. 23, a dinner guest removed an RCA VCR from a residence and fled on foot.

Petty larceny, 400 block Carolina Road, Sept. 24, someone pumped $6 worth of gas into a vehicle and drove off without paying.

Breaking and entering, 100 block Lewis Avenue, Sept. 24, someone pried open a bedroom window and gained entry to a residence.

Breaking and entering, 900 block Madison Avenue, Sept. 25, someone opened a door to the rear work area of a business and observed a man jumping out the window. The man had been ripping out wiring for the copper content. Copper wire was left on the floor along with a brown leather tool bag loaded with tools.

Armed robbery, County Street, Sept. 25, someone was driving when a group of men threw a bicycle out on the street causing him to stop his vehicle. One of the group then jumped into the passenger side of the truck, put a knife to the driver's chest and ordered him to park. The driver gave the robber $150 and dropped his wallet out the window. The robber attacked the driver, striking him in the face and body, retrieved the wallet and the remainder of the money, then fled the scene.

Vandalism, 300 block Hull Street, Sept. 25, a man reported that a group of juveniles shot a BB gun at him while he was working on his car. The BBs struck the car and the juveniles fled the scene.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Carolina Road, Sept. 26, someone entered a business by throwing a cement block through a door. Once inside, $3 in change was removed from a desk and various items were damaged. The amount of damage is estimated at $100.

Petty larceny, 600 block Madison Avenue, Sept. 26, someone removed a Sanyo VCR.

DISTRICT F

Grand larceny, 2700 block Airport Road, Sept. 23, someone removed a 14-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever from his home. The dog is valued as $400. ILLUSTRATION: CRIME LINE

Suffolk detectives ask help in finding the thieves who entered

the Beamon residence Sept. 27, in the 3000 block of Godwin

Boulevard, by removing a window fan.

The thieves removed the following items: a 20-inch television, a

Signature VCR, two .12-gauge Remington shotguns, two Ruger

.22-caliber pistols, a Winchester .30/30 and several other guns.

Also taken were assorted jewelry and perfume.
