Sirlie Ellen Midgette, 87, formerly of 8009 Galveston Blvd., died Oct. 11, 1995, at Thorton Hall.
She was a retired bookkeeper for F.W. Woolworth and was the widow of Lewis C. Midgett. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Florine M. Pittman of Norfolk and Pearl M. Harrell of Hobgood, N.C.; brother, Milton C. Midgett of Manteo, N.C.; son-in-law, Louis J. Hoisington; granddaughter, Sharon H. Puryear and her husband, G. Gray Puryear.
Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. William E. Amon. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
