JOHN THOMAS

Chief Petty Officer John Thomas, U.S. Navy retired, 74, died Oct. 11, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Thomas, a native of Perth Amboy, N.J., worked for the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He was a Protestant and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 60, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3160. He was a member of Orange Park Masonic Lodge (NU)267, Orange Park, Fla., and the Scottish Rite Bodies in Jacksonville, Fla.

Survivors include one daughter, Anne S. Richardson of Notasulga, Ala.; one sister, Sue Kocsik of Fords, N.J.; and one grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Full Military honors will be accorded at the graveside. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, in charge.
