ISABELL S. HOLEMAN

Mrs. Isabell S. Holeman, 78, of the 100 block of East Johnson Ave., died Oct. 12, 1995, in her home.

She was a homemaker and a native of Southampton County. She was the widow of the late Mr. Clarence C. Holeman. She was the former member of the missionarer band for Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, Va.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Turner of Waverly, Mrs. Ida Mae Hudson of White Plain, N.Y., and Mrs. Margaret Virginia Holeman, also of White Plain; one son, Mr. Clarence L. Holeman of Sedley, Va.; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Irene Holeman and Mrs. Annie Mae H. Stephen; two sons-in-laws, Mr. Shirley L. Turner Jr. and Mr. William T. Hudson; mother, Mrs. Lizzie Boykins Holeman; sister, Mrs. Nettie Colbert of Wakefield, Va.; two devoted friends, Mrs. Jeanie Thomas and Mrs. Daine Stith; a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Henry Branch.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, by the Rev. William T. Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing begins today at 7 p.m. The family will line up for the service at noon. Applewhite Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge.
