Regarding columnist Molly Ivins' ``We'll let Powell be presidential until his hat lands in the ring'' (Perspectives, Sept. 28):
If General Colin Powell decides to run, it won't be as a black man or a white man but as a man for all people.
This country wouldn't be in such a mess today if every candidate could run like that. Ask not what you can do for me but what I can do for my country.
Let's put less time on race and more time on the important issues. And try to get this country back on the right track. It will take all of us, no matter what color we are.
