Josef Atzenbeck, 89, of the 7400 block of Major Ave., died Oct. 13, 1995.
He was the retired owner of Jo's Tailor Shop in Norfolk. He was a native of Germany born in Regensburg on July 19, 1906, and came to the United States in 1929. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He had made his home in Norfolk since 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Atzenbeck; one nephew, Charles Atzenbeck of Crawford, N.J.; and one niece, Margaret Bollinger of Harrinton, Del.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Paul D. Moore in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
