Cmdr. Ronald W. Brinkley was misidentified in a caption on
Friday's MetroNews front. The photo showed Brinkley accompanying
country music singer Clint Black as he greeted the crew of the
Gunston Hall.
A 9-year-old girl who was shot in the back Thursday afternoon
while walking home from school in Hampton was not on the property of
the man who is accused of shooting her. A headline on Friday's
MetroNews front was mistaken.
A reunion of the USS Salvager, USS Gypsy, USS Mender and USS
Windlass will be held in October 1996 in Virginia Beach. A reunion
list in Sunday's MetroNews section failed to specify that the
reunion is next year.
An appearance Tuesday of the American Chamber Players at Virginia
Wesleyan College is a lecture-demonstration for faculty and
students. It was erroneously included in a concert listing in
Friday's Preview.
