Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority officials announced Thursday that it plans to rehabilitate its building on Pinner Street, the site of the old Paul D. Camp campus. Authority staff and various city departments have reviewed about 12 potential sites for the authority to use as its offices.
One option studied was to include the authority, the Department of Social Services and the Health Department in plans for renovation of the Suffolk High School building near the intersection of Clay and Saratoga streets. However, because the city found that the building didn't have enough space to house all three agencies, the authority and the city have agreed to house the authority's outreach office at the Suffolk High School. This outreach office will serve residents who are interested in applying to the authority's programs while they are visiting the Health Department or the Department of Social Services. by CNB
