Procter & Gamble Co. will sell its Fisher Nut snack-nuts brand, eliminating 41 jobs at the subsidiary's Suffolk and Edenton, N.C., operations, a spokeswoman said. P&G announced in June it planned to sell Fisher Nut Co. and about nine other brands to refocus on its core labels. John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc., a nut processor, will purchase Fisher Nut's inventory and some equipment. But it won't take Fisher Nut's operations. The Suffolk warehouse, which employs seven, and the North Carolina processing facility, with 34 workers, will both be closed. Fisher Nut had sales of $50 million in the fiscal year ended June 30.
