GALA ART EXHIBITION AND AUCTION TO BE NOV. 4

The Ninth Annual Gala Art Exhibition and Auction at Gomley Chesed Synagogue is scheduled for Nov. 4 at the synagogue, 3110 Sterling Point Drive.

Works by many famous artists, including Dali, Picasso, Miro, Delacroix, Rockwell, Chagall, Agam and Neiman, will be for sale by Marlin Art Gallery. They will be on display for an hour, beginning at 7:30 p.m., when champagne and hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. In addition, a cash bar will be open.

Sol Adams, a former teacher and counselor who is president of Merlin Art, will personally supervise the sale, which will begin at 8:30 p.m., and serve as auctioneer. In addition the works by famous artists, he will bring a collection of sports art and sports memorabilia to be auctioned.

Yale Dolsey, who serves as chairman of the annual benefit gala, said the sale will include ``a little bit of everything'' including traditional paintings that have been popular with bidders in past years.

Tickets for the evening are $5 per person and are now on sale at the synagogue office, telephone 484-1019. They also may be purchased at the door on the night of the sale. by CNB
