WALTER K. WILLIAMS

Walter K. Williams, 71, of the 2400 block of Portal Road, died Oct. 13, 1995, in Norfolk Community Hospital.

Mr. Williams was born in Jersey City, N.J., and was a Baptist. He was retired from the Naval Supply Center as an automotive foreman after more than 30 years and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Young Williams; a sister, Marjorie W. Carter of Chase City, Va.; three brothers, Elford Williams of Chesapeake, Rev. Russell Williams of Birmingham, Ala., and Frederick Williams of Chase City; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dinwiddie St., Norfolk, by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Metropolitan Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends will assemble at 2401 Portal Road, Chesapeake, at noon Wednesday for the funeral procession to the church. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside.
