Playskool recalls highchairs M ORE THAN 300,000 Playskool plastic highchairs are being recalled because cracks in the joints may cause them to collapse, says the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The toy maker says it has had 10 reports of injuries involving its 1-2-3 High Chairs, ranging from bruises to a concus-sion.
Consumers should inspect the chairs for cracks and contact Playskool for either a free repair kit or replacement chair.
The company has also asked merchants to stop selling the product until repair kits can be included with each chair.
About 300,000 of the chairs were sold between May 1994 and October 1995 for about $75 each.
Consumers may call Playskool at (800) 752-9755 for information.
