John W. Adams, 78, of the 1300 block of Drayton Road, died Oct. 16, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Adams, a native of Washington County, N.C., retired from Kraft Foods in 1979 after 29 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Adams; three daughters, Barbara J. Williams, Delma L. Ambrose and Susan E. Taylor, all of Chesapeake; four sons, William Adams of Virginia Beach, Horace A. Adams, Delbert C. Adams, Rickey L. Adams, all of Chesapeake; one sister, Mae Curry of Chesapeake; one brother, Clarence Adams of Chesapeake; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by Pastor Clark Mahoney. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at 1036 Livingston Ave., Chesapeake.
