JACOB S. ZABNER

Jacob S. Zabner, 89, of the 6000 block of River Road, a retired optometrist, died Oct. 16, 1995, in his residence.

Dr. Zabner was a native of Poland and a resident of Norfolk since 1940. He was a graduate of Columbia University and the Southern College of Optometry. He practiced in Norfolk for over 40 years. He was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk. Dr. Zabner was a member of Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)1 and the Khedive Temple.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Bessie ``Bee'' Zabner; a daughter, Sunny Stern and her husband, Martin, of Atlanta; one son, Myron M. Zabner of Baltimore; a sister, Mollye Z. Harris of Los Angeles; two brothers, David J. Zabner of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Louis M. Zabner of Camarillo, Calif.; six grandchildren, Gary M. Zabner, Michelle Baldwin, Lisa Zabner, Amy Setchel, Dr. Mark Stern and David Stern; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements.
