RACHEL V. MERCER

Rachel Virginia Mercer, 80, of the 3600 block of Cinnamon Court, died Oct. 16, 1995, in Norfolk.

Mrs. Mercer, the widow of Edward F. Mercer, was formerly employed by Monticello Vending Co. as a hostess at DePaul Hospital. She was a native of Mt. Hope, W.Va., and a member of Parkway Temple.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mercer of Norfolk and Deborah Burden of Chesapeake; two sisters, Madline Harris of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Loretta Kimblock of Oak Hill, W.Va.; one brother, Clifford Hinte of Oak Hill; and one grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parkway Temple by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
