Hearing on budget
Residents will have a chance to present their wish lists for the 1996-97 school budget at a public hearing planned for Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m.
The hearing will be held at Granby High School. The regular School Board meeting will follow.
Norfolk hosts conference
School Superintendent Roy D. Nichols Jr. served as host last week of the Large City Schools' Superintendent's Conference.
The conference drew superintendents from across the nation, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, Phoenix, Washington, D.C., and Omaha, Neb.
In between meetings during the four-day conference, the group toured Nauticus, the Chrysler Museum of Art, several Navy ships and Colonial Williamsburg.
