CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Grand larceny, 6000 block Camellia Drive, Sept. 28, a man who was given a $680 sales kit when he went to work for a business has not been seen since.

Petty larceny, 6000 block Brookwood Drive, Sept. 30, two Virginia state license plates were removed from a vehicle.

Petty larceny, 3600 block Bridge Road, Sept. 30, someone removed from a vehicle a black Motorola cellular phone valued at $80, one pair of sunglasses valued at $20 and a dark green alligator sunglass case valued at $10.

Breaking and entering, 2800 block Colonial Drive, Oct. 3, someone entered a garage and removed a red and gray Montgomery Ward push mower and a gas weed eater.

Motor vehicle theft, 7000 block College Drive, Oct. 4, someone removed a red, two-door, 84 Toyota Celica GT from the parking lot of the Tidewater Community Campus. A black rollback wrecker was observed in the area. The owner said no wrecker was called, and nothing was wrong with the car.

Lost/stolen, 6200 block Clavert Court, Oct. 4, a license plate was missing from a vehicle.

DISTRICT B

Breaking and entering, 3500 block Godwin Boulevard, Sept. 27, someone entered a residence by removing a window fan from the front window. A Sanyo VCR, a Phillips 20'' color TV, a Signature 2000 VCR, two model 1100 Remington shotguns, one 12 gauge shotgun barrel, two Ruger 10-22 semi-automatic 22 long rifles, a 94 Winchester 30/30 rifle, additional guns, a diamond ring and numerous bottles of perfume were removed. Total value is more than $6,000. The thieves left through the front door.

Grand larceny, 1400 block Bright Drive, Sept. 28, someone removed a Compaq Lite Elite laptop computer valued at $4,000.

Motor vehicle theft, 5800 block Godwin Boulevard, Sept. 30, someone removed a burgundy, 2-door 87 Pontiac Grand Am from the driveway of a residence.

Grand larceny, 2800 block Pruden Boulevard, Oct. 1, someone removed a Virginian-Pilot newspaper box containing about $54.50.

Breaking and entering, 1000 block Litton Lane, Oct. 4, someone broke a door frame while attempting to enter a residence.

DISTRICT C

Petty larceny, 1600 block North Main Street, Sept. 27, someone removed two Virginia license plates and decals from an office.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Lee Street, Sept. 27, someone broke into a warehouse, causing $50 worth of damage to the door. Approximately $50 worth of air conditioning coils were removed.

Breaking and entering, 400 block North Main Street, Sept. 27, someone attempted to enter a business by prying loose a window frame.

Destroy property, 300 block North Main Street, Sept. 28, someone kicked in a door to enter a vacant building.

Vandalism, 300 block North Main Street, Sept. 28, someone was observed breaking out a vehicle window.

Petty larceny, 200 block Chestnut Street, Sept. 29, someone removed a Virginia state inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Breaking and entering, 100 block Grove Avenue, Sept. 30, someone entered a residence by breaking out the center glass pane of the garage door. An antique coffee grinder valued at $100, a antique toy cash register valued at $25, 20 assorted antique candy containers valued at $500, an antique Planter's display jar valued at $65, four antique bottles valued at $90 and an antique ceramic creamer valued at $20 were removed.

Breaking and entering, 300 block Brooke Avenue, Oct. 3, someone entered a residence and removed a .22 caliber handgun.

Breaking and entering, 100 block West Washington Street, Oct. 4, someone broke out the front glass of a business, causing about $500 in damage. A purple silk bag was filled with clothing, but the bag was dropped. The person fled when an alarm went off.

DISTRICT D

Grand larceny, 2300 block East Washington Street, Sept. 27, a music student left a Artley clarinet valued at $550 in class while she went to get a drink of water. When she returned, the clarinet was missing.

Breaking and entering, 2300 block East Washington Street, Sept. 28, someone entered a business by prying open a window. A cash register valued at $300, freezer items valued at $300 and assorted candies valued at $200 were removed.

Petty larceny, 200 block Lloyd Street, Sept. 29, someone removed a Suffolk city sticker from a vehicle.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Raleigh Avenue, Sept. 30, a blue 10-speed Huffy bicycle was removed from a locked shed.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Pleasant Street, Oct. 1, someone entered a residence through the front door and removed a gray wallet, two birth certificates and a Social Security card.

Breaking and entering, 1100 block White Marsh Road, Oct. 2, someone removed a red 93 Tomos moped from a shed after breaking open the front gate.

Armed robbery, 1100 block Clary's Drive, Oct. 3, someone was approached from behind by two men who displayed handguns and ordered him to lie on the ground. About $470 was removed from the victim's pockets, and a gold chain with a marijuana leaf charm was taken from his neck. The thieves fled on foot.

Breaking and entering, 400 block East Washington Street, Oct. 3, someone entered a warehouse through a rear window. A drill press, grinder and anvil were removed. The interior was vandalized.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Cedar Street, Oct. 4, someone forced open the front and bedroom doors of a residence. Two letters, containing money or checks and clipped to the mailbox, were taken.

Stolen firearm, 300 block Hunter Street, Oct. 4, someone removed a Norinco Tokareve 9mm weapon from a vehicle.

Vandalism, 200 block Morgan Street, Oct. 4, someone spray painted the hoods of two vehicles that were parked at a residence while being repaired.

DISTRICT E

Grand larceny, 200 block Kenyon Road, Sept. 27, someone removed a power amplifier from a vehicle.

Motor vehicle theft, 9800 block Gates Road, Oct. 1, when a blue, 86 Ford Bronco broke down on the road, the owner was approached by someone who offered to fix it. The owner left the scene to get a wrecker. When he returned, the vehicle was gone.

DISTRICT F

Stolen firearm, 1400 block Planters Drive, Oct. 3, someone removed a Makarov 9mm semi-automatic handgun from a residence. The gun is black and aluminium with ``KBI'' on the barrel. ILLUSTRATION: Map
