EVERETT RAY WILLIS

Everett Ray Willis, 89, of Bolling Road, died Oct. 18, 1995.

He was a native of Wise County, Va. and was the widower of Carrie M. Willis. He was a retired security guard for Iron and Peck. Mr. Willis was a member of Central Baptist Church for 38 years. He was also honorary Sheriff Deputy for the Portsmouth Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Queen of Chesapeake, Betty Andrews of Newport News, and Greta Hall of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Alice Honeycutt of Hanover, Va., Janie Wells of Big Stone Gap, Va.; brother, Bryan Willis of Big Stone Gap; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Burns.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Central Baptist Church by Dr. U.G. Robertson. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
