Dr. Ernst Schweiger, 85, of the 300 block of Arizona St., died Oct. 17, 1995.
He was a practicing family physician until his death. He was a native of Yugoslavia and a graduate of the University of Vienna Medical School. He was recognized by the Virginia Medical Society in 1991 for 50 years of continuous medical service.
He is survived by his wife, Herta Freund Schweiger; two sons, Raymond Henry Schweiger of Baltimore, Md., and Dr. Don Albert Schweiger of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Kitty Schweiger of Tel Aviv, Israel; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Donald Sheffield in Olive Branch Cemetery. Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
