The Dare County Regional Airport is looking for someone to design a logo to portray the services and history connected with the airport. Interested artists are invited to submit designs for a contest by Dec. 31. The winner will receive $1,000.
The logo could include references to Roanoke Island, air flights of all types, the Civil Air Patrol, or any other items the designer wishes.
The logo will be used on stationery, clothing, souvenirs and other promotional items.
Entries must be on 8.5-by 11-inch paper. The Dare County Airport Authority will become the owner of the winning logo, and reserves the right to make enhancements or changes to the original design. Artists of all ages are invited to enter this contest.
