Elizabeth Alice Macauley, 79, a resident of Dendron and Bradenton, Fla., died Oct. 17, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was born in Angola, N.Y., and was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Gertrude Ogden Hanson. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Surry, St. George's Episcopal Church, Bradenton, and the Virginia Historical Society. A former resident of Tuckerton, N.J., she was the director of 4-H programs for the State Agriculture Extension Service at Rutgers University.
She was the widow of Clinton Macauley and is survived by nephews, Dwight David Hazard of Dendron, Scott Hazard of New Gretna, N.J., Mark Hazard of Pitman, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late Norma Morley and aunt of the late Grant Hazard.
Memorial services will be held in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Surry, on Saturday, Oct. 21, 1995, at 2 p.m., by the Rev. James W. Browder III. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, in charge.
