Virginia Gordon, 77, died Oct. 19, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Gladys Tonkin Forrest, and the widow of Walter ``Mutt'' Gordon. Mrs. Gordon was a charter member of Wilroy Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelby J. Putman of Suffolk; her son, Willard B. Gordon of Suffolk; her sister, Geraldine Green of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Clyde Nuckols. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
