Isabel Gallardo Morales, 100, of the 5600 block of Wesleyan Drive, a native of El Salvador, Central America, died Oct. 19, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Manuel Antonio Gallardo and the late Maria Duke Gallardo. She was a member of the Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Chapel. She is the widow of Dr. Jose F. Morales, who served as consul general of El Salvador for many years, being stationed in New York and New Orleans.
She was the beloved mother of Isabel Mariana Fly, and very dear to her son-in-law, Capt. William E. Fly, U.S. Navy retired, both of Virginia Beach. Other survivors include her sister, Carmela G. Salazar of El Salvador; three grandchildren, Sandra A. Weiermann of San Diego, Calif., Diane M. Alexander of Sedona, Ariz., and Karl V. Dillenkoffer of Wheaton, Ill.; seven great-grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; and many friends who will miss her very much. She was a gentle loving lady.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Chapel by Father John J. Morris. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church Building Fund, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, 23462.
