Paul E. Ridgway Sr., 74, of the 500 block of Nottingham Road, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995.
He was a native of Charleston, S.C., and was the widower of Dorothy A. Ridgway. He was retired from Naval Air Station, Norfolk, and was a member of Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Portsmouth. He was an Army Air Corps. veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Paul E. Ridgway Jr. of Chesapeake, and James W. Ridgway of Portsmouth; two sisters, Jeannette Stonehocker of Hyde Park, Utah, and Marilyn Watson of Dunlop, Ill.; brother, Robert Ridgway of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Jessica Lee Ridgway of Virginia Beach and John Poffenbarger of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by Bishop Gene Jones. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
