CHARLES N. CHAPPLE

Charles N. Chapple, 71, of the 8000 block of W. Glen Road, died Oct. 20, 1995, in his residence.

He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service as a First Class Gunners Mate. He was a native of Buffalo, N.Y., and was a veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline G. Kelly of Norfolk, Linda S. Nealey of Virginia Beach, and Helen Y. Bowers of Andrews Airforce Base, Md.; six sons, Charles R. Wilkes of Jamestown, N.Y., Ted M. Chapple of Norfolk, Dan T. Chapple of Buffalo, N.Y., and Edward D. Chapple, Terry L. Chapple, and Rick V. Chapple, all of Norfolk; seven sisters; 27 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
