FRED J. PASSAMONTE

Fred Joseph Passamonte, 77, of the first block of Jane Lane, died at Albemarle Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 22, 1995.

Born in New York City, he had been a pattern maker for Grumman Aerospace of Bethpage, N.Y., and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific theater. He was active in Little League baseball in Huntington, N.Y., and was Catholic.

Mr. Passamonte was the husband of Genevieve Cerramon Passamonte and son of the late Federico and Mary Kate McKenna Passamonte.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lillian Cahill and Priscilla Tremel, both of New York; one son, Fred John Passamonte of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Passamonte is to be sent to Arthur Giove Funeral Home in Selden, N.Y., for burial in a national cemetery in Calverton, Long Island, N.Y. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
