HUBERT A. WHITE

The Rev. Hubert Allen White, 85, of 200 block of Tucker Drive, passed away Oct. 25, 1995, in Johnston-Willis Hospital, Midlothian, Va.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne White. He was a retired United Methodist Minister in the Virginia United Methodist Conference. Rev. White served several districts in Virginia including Petersburg, Emporia, Boydton, Amelia, Blackstone, Chuckatuck, Roanoke and Danville.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Grigg White; seven daughters, Ruthaleen Stephens of Boydton, Joyce Blalock of Danville, Carolyn Morris of Jetersville, Brenda Rountree of Gates, N.C., Betty Hildebrande of Brunswick, Ohio, Nancy Uzzell of Suffolk, Sarah Ellett of Burkeville; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Crewe United Methodist Church with visitation at the church today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. C.L. Jennings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Crewe United Methodist Church, American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
