Melville Corp. plans to sell Richmond-based This End Up Furniture Co. Melville, a retailing giant based in Rye, N.Y., said This End Up does not fit into its new business strategy. Robert A. Kemeny, president and chief executive of This End Up, said the sale is in both companies' best interests. ``We are very different companies, and our business strategies have never really been the same,'' he said.
