A 38-year-old Colington resident who was wounded Monday night was listed in critical but stable condition at a Norfolk hospital Wednesday.
Tommy Underwood was shot in the head during a cookout in the front yard of the trailer where he lived.
Sammy Pleasant Bowles Jr., 34, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in connection with the shooting.
Underwood is in the neuro-intensive care unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
