LOWDOWN THIEVES

A month ago, the American Red Cross quarters on Brambleton Avenue in Norfolk were burglarized. Among the items taken was a VCR, which was used to show movies to platelet donors. Platelet donors usually sit for 90 minutes donating the gift of life for cancer patients. This was the second VCR stolen in the past three years.

What kind of lowlife would steal from the American Red Cross? Platelet donors may well be helping relatives or friends of the thieves. Whoever the thieves are, I hope they are enjoying the VCR - and that they get caught!
