LESLIE F. HAYNIE

Leslie Franklin Haynie, 78, of the 2500 block of East Little Creek Road, died Oct. 26, 1995, in a local hospital.

He was a native of Norfolk and was a retired tug boat captain and docking pilot for McAllister Bros. Towing Co., where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of Ruth Masonic Lodge (NU)89 AF & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies; Khedive Shrine Temple; and the Hill-Billie Unit of the shrine.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Haynie; three daughters, Sharon Robbins of Norfolk, Karen Norman of Virginia Beach, Susan Ellen of Rochester, N.Y.; six sons, John W. Haynie, Leslie F. Haynie III, Harry C. Haynie, Robert M. Haynie, all of Northumberland County, Va., Kelly M. Haynie, and Jeffrey H. Haynie, both of Virginia Beach; mother, Sue Haynie of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Constance Moore of Mardella Springs, Md., and Dell Roberts of Virginia Beach; brother, Thomas F. Haynie of Northumberland County; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No funeral services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital. The family will receive visitors today between 7 and 8 p.m. at 2501 East Little Creek Road, (NU)2. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
