Police are treating the death of a 43-year-old woman, whose body was found on Wednesday night, as the city's 31st homicide.
Deborah E. Smith was found dead shortly after 9 p.m. at her home in the 4300 block of Deep Creek Blvd. Smith apparently was stabbed.
Her body was sent to the Norfolk Crime Lab.
