Mary Lee Cooper, 82, of the 600 block of Greenview Lane, died Oct. 26, 1995.
Mrs. Cooper, the widow of Rufus Elmer Cooper, was retired from the Navy Exchange after 25 years of service. She was a native of Asheboro, N.C., and a member of Browers United Methodist Church, Asheboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Claudene C. Barry of Norfolk; two sisters, Hilda Brower and Annie Allred, both of Asheboro; grandson, Timothy Barry and his wife, Maria, of Virginia Beach; great-grandchildren, Katie Barry and Paige Barry, both of Virginia Beach; son-in-law, Ben L. Barry of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Browers Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Alvin Latham. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 2 to 3 p.m. today and at the church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Browers United Methodist Church, Asheboro.
