Gloria H. Stewart, of the 800 block of Johnstons Road, died Oct. 26, 1995, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jettie Menzie of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, Elzie B. Stewart Jr. of Norfolk; her mother, Jettie White Hathaway of Norfolk; three sisters, Shirley McInnis, Barbara Surratt and Jean Derricott, all of Norfolk; a brother, Allen Lloyd Hathaway of New York; two aunts, Lillie Dennis of New Jersey and Janie Mason of Edenton, N.C.; two grandchildren; one sister-in-law; a host of cousins, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews; a son-in-law; a brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 1703 Johnstons Road the day of the service. The remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday for viewing.
