Graveside services will be held noon Monday at Riverside Memorial Park for Michael Warren Romero, a musician who died earlier this week after he was thrown from the back of a truck.
Police said Romero, 32, was injured early Wednesday when the truck swerved and hit a utility pole near 16th Bay Street and East Ocean View Avenue. He died a few hours later in a hospital. Police said he was riding in the bed of the truck with his bicycle.
Romero, of Norfolk, grew up in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake. He was a bass player in local bands. Riverside Memorial Park is in the 600 block of E. Indian River Road. by CNB
