Veronica Nora Figiel, 86, died Oct. 28, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Figiel was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Jon and Anna Zebroski. She was a retired secretary of the Gertz Department Store after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Figiel Sr.; and her son, Frank J. Figiel Jr.
She is survived by three grandchildren, John and Joanna Figiel, both of Bloomfield, N.J., and Nancy Figiel of Southern Shores, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Anna Figiel of Southern Shores; one daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Figiel of Southern Shores; and one sister, Julia Russnok of Long Island, N.Y.
Mrs. Figiel was sent from Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, to O'Brian Funeral Home, Elmont, N.Y. A visitation will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in O'Brian Funeral Home, and a mass of resurrection, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Bonisace Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
