DEBORAH L. STEPNEY

Deborah L. ``Tita'' Stepney, of the 2800 block of Bayne Ave., died Oct. 25, 1995, in her residence.

She was a receptionist at Norfolk Healthcare and a former employee of emergency communication center, City of Norfolk. She was a native of Norfolk and former member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Norfolk. She attended Norfolk State University.

Survivors include her mother, Christine Wiggins Stepney of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Stepney McCoy of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. La Freda Stepney Smith of Woodbridge, Va.; three brothers, Ernest L. Stepney Jr. of Chicago, Ill., J. Ivan Stepney and W. Darryl Stepney, both of Norfolk; two brothers-in-law, Horace McCoy Sr. of Memphis and Michael Smith of Woodbridge; one devoted aunt, Laura B. Johnson of Baltimore; three nieces; and five nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Ernest L. Stepney Sr.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in St. Andrews Temple by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Monday. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at the residence for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
