Stanley William Martin, 84, formerly of Salton Drive, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Martin was a native of Johnson City, Tenn., and was the widower of Mary E. Martin. He was the retired owner of Martin's Upholstery, Chesapeake.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary E. Pope of Peoria, Ill., and Jean Roman of Chesapeake; a sister, Mildred Wilson of Johnson City, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Edward G. Caughill. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
