WILLIAM HARGRAVE III

William ``Bill'' Hargrave III, of the 100 block of Ada St., died Oct. 28, 1995, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Hargrave was born in New Paltz, N.Y. He was disabled from Norfolk Southern and was a life member of the United Transportation Union. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hargrave; two daughters, Susan Hargrave Haynie and Cynthia Hargrave Verhonich, and two sons, William B. Hargrave IV and Steven B. Hargrave, all of Knotts Island; his mother, Odessa Hargrave Claflin of Chickamauga, Ga.; a brother, Robert E. Hargrave of Okeechobee, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Jimmy Bennett. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntington Disease Society of America, 140 W. 22nd St., New York, N.Y. 10011.
