Mrs. Elaine R. Johnston Bernet, 76, formerly of Richmond, Va., died Oct. 29, 1995, in Grand Ledge, Mich.
Mrs. Bernet was born in Grand Lege, Mich., Nov. 23, 1918, and was the daughter of Wayne F. and Lorna Doty Robinson. She was a graduate of Sparrow Hospital School of Nursing, Lansing, Mich. and was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Johnson Jr. and by her husband, Capt. Howard Bernet, USN.
Survivors include, two brothers, Dr. Stanley R. Robinson and Wayne F. Robinson of Grand Ledge, Mich.; three daughters, Jean J. Pixley of Grand Ledge, Mich., June J. Tredway of Rock Hill, S.C. and Suzanne J. Sellner of Kingwood, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Lutheran Church, Lansing, Mich. with burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Lege. A memorial service will be at Westminster-Canterbury, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Fund, Westminster-Canterbury, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach 23451, or to Bayside Presbyterian Church, 1400 Ewell Road, Virginia Beach, 23451.
