Joseph H. Reid, of the 400 block of Waters Road, died Oct. 28, 1995.
He was retired from the Naval Supply Center and was the widow of Helen E. Reid. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Brown and Gloria E. Parker, both of Chesapeake; one brother, Bishop John Reid of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Bruce Reid of Virginia Beach, Kathleen Parker, Lang-horne Brown, and Olivia Brown, all of Chesapeake, Anthony Brown of Sarasota, Fla., and Monroe Parker of Marina, Calif., and Tyrone Brown of Portsmouth, Va.; and two nieces, two nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday by the Rev. O.L. Cromwell II in New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 7 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, Norfolk.
