Walter C. Moody, 69, of the 1900 block of Engle Ave., died Oct. 29, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Moody was born in Smithfield, Va., and was a retired captain of the Norfolk City Fire Department after 39 years of service. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife, Lydia H. Moody; daughter, Mary Jo LaCasse of Virginia Beach; two sons, Walter Thomas Moody of Middletown, R.I., and William Andrew Moody of Norfolk; sister, Alice Deagle of Chesapeake; two brothers, Fred Moody of Virginia Beach and Elliott Moody of Chesapeake; granddaughter, Hannah Margaret Moody of Middleton, R.I.; and cousin, Clarice Washington of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. and the Rev. Lamar Sentell in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
