Bessie Mae Salvant, 86, of the 2700 block of Bunch Walnut Road, died Oct. 29, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Salvant was born in Texas and was the widow of Harry A. Salvant. She was a lifelong member of Lekies United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Dolores Darlene Laughnan of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Jackson Boland Salvant of Coral Springs, Fla., and Bernard A. Salvant of Chesapeake; two sisters; two brothers; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, in charge.
