Mildred Lessie King, 80, of 322 Mexico Road, died Oct. 29, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
A native of Gates County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mrs. Lina Pearl Lowe King. A retired seamstress from Rick's Laundry, she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Willard Howard King.
Surviving are two daughters, Nellie Mae Andrews of Virginia Beach and Barbara K. Hofler of Sunbury; one son, Robert Earl King of Algonquin, Ill.; two sisters, Lillian K. Rountee of Gatesville and Catherine K. Winslow of Edenton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Miller Funeral Home by the Rev. Ashby Browder and the Rev. Ron Parr. Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery at Joppa. Friends may join the family today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hofler, Route 1, Sunbury.
