Mr. Peterson was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Virginia Peterson of Virginia Beach; one aunt, Vera Hensler of Virginia Beach; and one uncle, Jack Peterson of Bethesda, Md.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Pastor Kenneth R. Carbaugh in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
