Former Chesapeake City Manager John T. Maxwell resigned his post
in 1984. A story in Sunday's MetroNews section erroneously stated
that Maxwell had been fired as city manager.
The Senate last weekend approved a balanced-budget bill by a vote
of 52-47. The congressional Roll Call in Monday's MetroNews section
had the wrong number of senators opposed to the bill.
Linda Scanlan's last name was misspelled in the byline of her
Sunday Commentary column, ``Memory of Conference on Women can make a
difference.''
