In 1985, my beautiful daughter was brutally murdered. I have ever since been active in crime victims' advocacy groups. We were helped immeasurably last year by Del. Howard Copeland's sponsorship and passage of the Crime Victim's Bill of Rights, which establishes rights and funds expansion of our victim witness programs all over the state.
I pray no one has to go through my experience, but I am thankful that victim-witness programs can assist when tragedy strikes. Del. Howard Copeland is the sort of elected official we need to retain.
