Ruby G. Oulundsen, 89, died Oct. 31, 1995.
She was a native of Hartford, Conn., who later moved to Florida and Virginia. She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church. She was well-known to various Tidewater senior citizen groups as the leader of ``Ruby and Her Saints,'' a dance troupe which she organized during the 1970s. She formerly directed and danced in seasonal revues in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Hartford, where she also managed the Ruby Carpentier School of Dancing. Her life-long love of dancing included a vaudeville act known as The Carpentier Sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred ``Al'' Oulundsen; her son, John R. Harrington and his wife, Claire, all of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, John Harrington of Jamaica Plain, Mass.; Gay Harrington of Boston, Mass., Steven Harrington of Arlington, Va., Sheila Bogart of Chesapeake, David Harrington of Boston; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Father Anselm Ober in St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today with the family receiving friends and relatives following until 9 p.m. at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel.
