Robert Morgan ``Bob'' Ray, 73, of the 5800 block of Hawthorne Lane, died Oct. 31, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Ray, a retired engineer, worked for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Cradock Baptist Church and a native of Commerce, Ga. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Margie M. Ray; two sons, Robert M. Ray Jr. and his wife, Roseann of Chesapeake, Leonard M. ``Butch'' Ray and his wife, Sandra of Suffolk; one granddaughter, Karen Ray Webster and her husband, Matt of Portsmouth; two step-grandchildren, Andrew B. Rountree and his wife, Wendy of Richmond, and Cheri Rountree of Suffolk; one step-great-granddaughter, Katherine Anne Rountree of Richmond.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Loving Funeral home Chapel by Dr. William C. Russ and Dr. David Denny. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Rivershore Baptist Church.
