ASA K. PARKER

Asa King Parker, 93, of Route 1, died Oct. 31, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.

Mr. Parker, the widower of Reva Liverman Parker, was a native of Hertford County, N.C. He was a member of Meherrin Baptist Church, Murfreesboro. He was a retired farmer and livestock dealer.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret L. Parker of Murfreesboro; one son, Robert A. Parker and wife, Linda M. Parker, both of Murfreesboro; one granddaughter, Leigh Ann Parker of Murfreesboro; one grandson, Carlton L. Parker of Charleston, S.C.; one great-granddaughter, Britney Anderson of Murfreesboro; one great-grandson, Vincent Anderson Jr. of Murfreesboro; one step-granddaughter, Shelia A. Davis of Murfreesboro; one step-grandson, Stanley A. Piersa Jr. of Courtland; three step-great-grandchildren, Garrett Piersa of Courtland, Ashley Davis and Kevin Davis, both of Murfreesboro.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Meherrin Baptist Church by the Rev. Billy Sellers and Rev. Alphonso W. Burden. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Margaret L. Parker, Route 1, Murfreesboro.
